I'm getting increasingly frustrated...! I think I have solved the biamp situation but now realize that I'm getting a significant amount of distortion (blaring for lack of a better word) in the bass drivers. I have tried different enclosures (bass reflex, Klipschorn) and different amps (RCA, Leak) without reducing the problem. I have to conclude that it is the drivers themselves, except that they both do the same thing and yet have completely different histories. Plus, one of them was reconed...
Is there some sort of maintenance required with these old buggers or other adjustments?
They sound a bit like when a radio station isn't quite on the signal. Like they need to be "tuned in"...
    Help!

Never mind. I changed crossovers (back to passive) and finally speakers, and it still sounds the same...! I give up.

Rather then ?tuning them in" and trying those ?different enclosures? try to use both of them in-phase to each other. It would help? :-)
