Heat trace wire

Self regulated heat 8 w/ft, How do terminate the power end of the cable. I've never worked with this stuff before. This is a new installation, I ran the feed and have terminated it in octagon box but have done nothing with the heat trace yet. Can you put a cap plug on the end and plug into a outlet or can it terminate dirctly into a octagon box. I'am afraid the heat trace may heat the connections in the J box. Or if any one can direct me to a web site.

Installed this only once myself probably about 15 years ago, I don't remember the details but I do believe it came with terminating instructions and a kit to seal the ends.
