Does anyone know of a good resource for learning basic algebra and algebra as it pertains to electricians?

I am looking for a online resource or the name of a good text book, I don't mind spending a few buck for the info.

I may have a shot at a instructors position and I know at the very least I need to re-learn my algebra skills, I never was that good with it so I am hoping for a good resource that starts with the basics and slowly ramps it way up to the more advanced levels.

Any Instructors out there (ED) who could provide tips on what I need to brush up on for an interview and first year instructing?

Any help, tips or info is greatly appreciated.

Hey Bigrockk

Good luck with your interview. If I might add, something that would be very helpful is some courses in Adult Education. I trust you are going for College/Tech training instructor of some sort. It is Ok to be well versed in your area of expertise, a subject matter expert (SME), but you will also need to be able to present your knowledge and skills for others to grasp.

I have been instructing young adults (read teenagers) and adults for many years and continue to take courses on instructional techniques, questioning techniques, programme design, development, evaluation etc.

To be gauged as a good instructor, it will not be what you know, but what you can pass on?

Your local community college likely has these courses available. There are tons of books/articles/research papers also avail. In addition, public speaking course could be useful. Groups like Toastmasters (although I am not a member) have very good reports and success stories.

The college I applied to does have a requirment for its instructors to obtain a certificate in teaching adult learners.A good idea in my opinion.
