I was wondering if someone could help me. What is the code for electrical panels in a bathroom. I am looking at finishing my basement (which was partialy finished when I moved in). The problem is the room with the roughed in plumming they created has a door on an outside wall and behind the door is the electrical panel. They must of thought it was OK but I have a concern with water and the panel that close together due to condinsation.

Does anyone know the code, it is only 4" behind the door?
    Thx

    Exclamation

They are not allowed in bathrooms.

26-402(1) "Panelboards shall not be located in...bathrooms...nor in any similar undesirable place"

    Question

Does anyone know, does a "similar undesirable location" include a washroom?

Re: Electrical panel in the bathroom??

If the choice is made in favor of the option with a shower cabin, then you can safely install it in one of the corners of the room. Also check out the re-bath reviews. There you can find a shower cubicle for every taste. I think this will be useful for you.
