ESA is responsible for public electrical safety in Ontario as designated by Ontario Regulation 89/99.

Electrical Inspections in BC

Electrical Safety Act, [RSBC 1996] CHAPTER 109 A chief inspector and electrical inspectors are required for this Act and are appointed under the Public Service Act

Inspection service delivery falls under the jurisdiction of each city, municipality or regional district

Thanks for the information about where to go to get an inspection. I have a Q: if I were to repair or improve upon an electrical installation that was completed 10 years ago, would I need to get a permit and have an inspection ?

OOPS! I just found the answer to my Q in another posting which referred to (CEC 2-004 Permit).
