A few people have mentioned having this upgrade but no info on the power increase and the damage it has done or might do to a stock setup. Has anyone been using this for a while on a stock setup? Changing pistons and that type of mod is why I didn't go turbo and stayed with the JRSC in the first place so I'm very curious if we can safely go 8PSI without much change and not destory our cars smile.

It's my understanding that the 8PSI kit is ok for your car.. but, you need somethings.

The JR Fuel pump, a MSD BTM which retards timing as you build boost.

I think the 8psi pulley makes about 20 more horses. By the way the SC is can make about 13 psi. The integra engine couldn't take that though.

    Did I miss anything else?

Well, I had a guy(Shaeffer's Motorsports) try to sell me a kit, he wanted like 800 bucks or something......now it better come with a little bit more than a fu**in pulley...

So in conclusion, the BTM does not hurt performance at all compared to without it and a S/C???...I might get one just to be on the safe side...???????????

I think the upgrade is currently only available through installers. The price probably includes installation. The upgrade includes pulley, BTM and fuel pump. If you've already got the pump, they should drop the price by perhaps $170 ($150 for the pump + $20 labor, just a guess).

    No,

It doesn't hurt performance at all. It allows you to eliminate the compromize of always running retarded ignition timing for the sake of the highest boost level.

WOT throttle (full boost) performance won't be affected, but the spectrum of no boost to approaching full boost performance will improve with the greatest benefit at no boost, trailing off to zero benefit at full boost.

It does complicate the system slightly by adding another component and providing another adjustment for you to make. It gives you something else to tweek (carefully) and something else to keep an eye on.
