i thought i could touch the sky
with a simple wish of my heart
i thought i could capture the comet
as it swiftly blew right past

i thought i could hear the song
of a distant cherubic choir
i thought it was sonorous passion
as it dissipated into silence

i thought i could believe in reliance
and the splendor of the condition of harmony
i thought it was a concentric haven
as it became a battleground of illusion

i thought i could see the soft faces of comfort
the loved ones who buoyed me to the surface again
i thought i told them how much they matter
as i wrote this expression of gratitude

Sometimes a silent companion,
Sometimes an energetic force
weaving golden threads of love
around my aching heart

Whether you're in front of me
or just on the sidelines
your loyalty is the steady ground which
my foundation rests upon
i know you're there even if i cant see you
and you know that i am here

My gracious companion
You're a shining example of goodness
in a place that shows too much strife
You're someone i would always welcome
to lean on me if you need to
as you have shown your willingness to be leaned upon

May we always brighten each other's lives
and never lose sight of our union
May we never forget the rarity of us
and continue to share our presence
whether subliminal or evident

*VBG myra.......i've always done this when i feel like expressing myself.....writing has always been as natural to me as speaking......im really glad you like it, because it really does come from inside.......it may not always be the best material, but always know it's sincere....*hugs ya again, cuz you can never get, or give, enough*......there'll be more.....im on a creative high lately....
