We're thinking about taking the kids to Disney this year but we want to tent instead of staying in a hotel. Unfortunately we know nothing about the area.... any ideas for campgrounds we can check out??

holy shit! camp grounds in california......*thinkin

    .....in a tent.....near disneyland.....

i just sleep in my car everywhere.......
beats a, over 100$ a night stay in any hotel close to there....

theres camping at the lakes......like Lake Paris
but that might be too far from there..... at the foothills of the mountains....Lytle Creek theres camping....
i dont know about tent camping at the beaches...they've got places for moter homes....
either which way you go...its a 30 minute drive ..
    Lake, Beach or mountains...
*L* 30 minutes if theres nobody on the freeway...
HA!! like 2 to 3 hours any other time...

i would check for places along the coast line...

if you're coming to Cali to go to Disneyland....be prepared for PEOPLE, people and even more people...and for each people theres a car...
and freeways that, to this day...i STILL take wrong freeways...and end up taking the loooooong way home...

you got any kind of discount for Disneyland??

it'll cost almost / if not over 200$ for four people to get in...

we can buy discount cards at the grocery stores... but let me find out if they are for Southern California residents only....
they go by zip code on your drivers license...

the cards are like 75$ for an adult 2day pass...
something like that.....i'll check it out and let you know.....k

*LMAO*.... tell your brother you're starting your own campground...

i've been checking into prices... i've found that it's $116 PER PERSON!! for a two day pass to disney. but what the hell... we're driving so no costs for plane tickets... and we prefer tenting to hotels... so that saves too. I figure if we can travel from calgary, alberta to yarmouth, nova scotia and back in a rental car (they were real thrilled with the 14,000+ km (8,400 miles) we put on their car in 12 days lmao!!) and do the whole trip for only $2000.00 we can handle a drive to disney in our own van for about the same cost. we don't really care if we end up camping on the coast or not. we can always drive to the coast and spend a day there. the main concerns we have for camping are flush toilets and hot showers. good things come from keeping your standards low ya know! lol! We definitely want to see Hollywood. my 15 year old daughter would never forgive us for not stopping there lol! If you have any other suggestions for sights we should go see (kids are 15 and by that time nearly 12) let me know. we figure it'll take two days to drive there and two to drive back so... 5 or 6 days to spend in Cali - 2 of those days spent at disney. We haven't told the kids yet... just in case anything happens and we can't go. We have to hire a team leader to run a landscaping truck for us this year... if he's good and we can trust him to take care of our customers while were gone we'll be able to go. *crosses fingers*.... if he's a dick and we're stuck with him, we won't be able to go. we'll know by april or may most likely.

*hopes to party with mel in Cali*
