I'm going to post pictures and updates on this thread.
Kian started out at 2 pounds 14 ounces and dropped down to 2 pounds 9 ounces. When Daniel called to check on him a few minutes ago he had weighed in at 3 pounds even and they have him on the oxygen canules (just the little tubes up his nose) at 30% oxygen which is 9% above what we are at so he is doing AWESOME!!! He is still breathing kind of fast though so they are keeping an eye on him. But every day he seems to improve and he doesn't seem to be a sick baby just that he was born early because of the pre-eclampsia that nearly killed him and I both. We got EXTREMELY lucky. And he is without a doubt my miracle baby.

He is up to 3 pounds 1 ounce now. They still have him on the oxygen and they have him on 16mL of formula. They are still trying to figure out if the amirtriptylline I am taking even though it is a really small dose is an issue for breastfeeding. So I am going to find out about being taken off that medication.
He is tiny. It is definately different holding him in comparison to when I held Kaela and Hannah when they were born. They were over twice his size so it is a HUGE difference between Kian and a full term baby. But he's my miracle and I wouldn't give him up for anything. Oh he's tiny now but something tells me had I gone full term he would have been a good 8 or 9 pounds. He's gaining about an ounce a day right now. When we checked up on him the other night when we were there he weighed in at 3lbs 2oz. So he is doing really well. They have taken him off his IV fluids and just have him on the formula right now every 6 hours until they decide if the amitriptylline I am on is a problem or not. Which I am going to be talking with my neurologist today about it to see if I can get off that drug and just increase the other preventative or something. Anyway, here are a few of the newest pictures. *S*

Taken 04/16/08 - He opened his eyes briefly as if to say "Hi Mom" and then shut them as soon as he saw the camera...LOL.
tAKEN 04/16/08 - Opened his eyes a tiny bit and was playing possum with the camera again.
Taken 04/16/08 - Looks like he went to one of Daddy's lectures for school...LOL.
Taken 04/16/08 - He was actually starting to suck on the feeding tube and then proceeded to try and pull it out but didn't get very far since it is taped down.
It is going to be nice when he can actually perform the suck, swallow, and breathing function all together so he can take a bottle instead. Since he was born so early he has to learn a lot of things on the outside that he normally would have been learning on the inside.
