National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I clicked today too.

I have become very close to the family I work for..
they have been dealing with breast cancer in the
family...Scot, my boss, lost his sister 1 year ago
to breast cancer and they just found out 3 months
ago that his wife now has breast cancer. His daughter,
Allyson, whom I also work with, is scared to death.
She went today for a complete physical including
a mammogram even though she is only 26. She has
become such a basket case with everything...she
was very close to her aunt and is very close to
her mom.....we have had so many conversations
about this...

On Tuesday, I had to be at work early to finalize
a bid for a job we are hoping to get...the Cancer
Research Institute in Hershey....this is one of
the biggest contracts ever for our company....
but its not the money Scot wants...he wants to
plant lots of pretty things for cancer victims..
things his sister loved...and things he wife
loves....they are things that were included in
our layout designs for the landscaping....and
he undercut so many things that some of the guys
think we are going to end up taking a loss in the
end if we do get the bid...

*nodding*... but sometimes it's about more than the money... sounds like the project has a little peice of his heart... maybe he doesn't mind so much if he takes a little loss here and there... thank you for clicking mrs. g.
