hoping and dreaming

my boyfriend just got his -dream- car... an 84 canary yellow corvette.. rawr.. we're going to be spending the long weekend zooming around with the top off... yay us

so i figure... if he gets his dream thing... why can't i..

unfortunately, my dream thing scares him.. hahahaha

i've got my eye on one of these:

it's a kenyan sand boa
at their biggest, they can still live comfortably in a ten gallon tank.. so they don't get very big and of the boa family.. they're of the calmer species

there's actually two of them and i think she wants them both to go..
which isn't a problem, because they're SOsoosososoososooooo damn cute...

right now they're just babies.. so they're just teeny tiny..

i was in the pet store yesterday buying bugs and i saw them.. and held one in each hand.. and they just hugged my fingers and slithered around.. and it was love at first sight

unfortunately, when he was in india, he was bitten by a boa..
by an asp twice in africa..

so he's not too keen on the idea of having a snake in the house

but i think his solid NO is softening...

he went and held them today in the store.. and he even said.. they're pretty damn cute..and he liked the way they curled around his fingers

i may just get my way, yet.. bwahahaha

i love snakes... ever since i was a kid.. i was catching garter snakes in the backyard and bringing them home to mom.. it's been my dream to have a couple and a nice big set up for them

and i saw my dream go down the toilet when i went to buy them and they were already gone...
i was A DAY LATE....-sob-
