there's always something to take a photo of.. whether it's a gasoline rainbow running into a sewage drain, or a water leak on a concrete wall underneath a window sill...
i was walking through alleys back on vancouver island, and i found myself in a sort of piazza of alleyways and amid the rundown crumbling walls and garbage and broken toys, there were pots lined up along the ground... filled with bright vibrant silk flowers.. and i thought to myself.. what a strange place to find something so pretty... i wished to god i had my camera but when i went back the next day... it just wasn't the same... i'd missed the opportunity when the time was right... now i don't go anywhere without my camera
this is the beach outside of where i lived as a child in Port Hardy, BC.. my dad cut this chair out of a fallen tree when i was 7 years old.. we went back there a couple of years ago and it's still standing... it was kind of neat... we had a picture of me sitting in it as a child, and now we have a picture of my baby brother sitting in it, just a few years older than i was at the time.
