Stupid people at Kmart..

I was just talking to shatz on YM.. which reminded me of the shit I was put through this morning [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

So, on Monday, I was at work.. and Daniel (some guy who works there) asks me if i would like to work again tomorrow (Tuesday).
I said yes, and asked what time, and he said 7:30am until 11:30am. I'm thinking, shit what have I got myself into! 7:30am is way too early [img]tongue.gif[/img] ..

Then he said, if he can't find anyone to work from 11:30am - 2:30pm, would I just continue working (as in from 7:30am - 2:30pm).. I said yeah should be ok.
He then said that for now, I am just in for 7:30 - 11:30 and I will be told tomorrow morning whether I need to stay longer.

So.. last night, my friend calls me at 10pm asking if I wanted to come over with all the girls just to chill and watch TV.. I suggested they come here so I can sleep whenever I want, and I can get up in the morning no problems, and they could just stay at my house until I get home.

So I didn't get to bed until 4am hehe.. and I got up at 6:30am. I was SO freakin tired.
On the way to work, I said to Mum that I'll just tell them that if they need me from 11:30 - 2:30 I won't be able to work because of an "appointment" I forgot about. So when I got into work, I spoke to my manager and told her everything Daniel had said to me the day before, and that I would only be able to work until 11:30. So she checks the rosters, and tells me that Daniel had written me in for 11:30am - 2:30pm!!!!!!!!!!

FARK!!!

SO THE SHITHEADS MISTAKE MEANT I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE AT WORK!!! My manager was apologising seemwhile I got up so early (totally not her fault), and that if I wanted I can work even though they don't need me, or that I could "cancel" my "appointment" and come back in at 11:30 - 2:30.. I decided to call Mum and go home and sleep for a few hours, then go back to work..

I had the BEST day yesterday... followed by this piece of shit [img]mad.gif[/img]

Aside from all that.. nothing bad happened I guess... But still... FARKING DANIEL!!! *shakes fist*

what? or was it that he needed someone to come
in and asked you to cover the shift? that part
i'm confused about...

but as for getting up early and having to be
at work fucking early for no reason but because
someone is a nimrod.. yeah.. i totally understand
that.

no one should have to work at 7.30am....
and if i had it my way... i don't think anyone
(me) would work before noon.

I'm technically only employed until the end of January.. it was just for the Christmas period.

I get two rostered shifts a week. But I am supposed to be available 6-7 days a week so when they need me, they call me and I come in.

Last week, I only had two rostered shifts, but i worked 3 extra days just because someone had called and cancelled their shift (sick or something) so I went in.

thats gonna come in handy.. especially for xmas.
i bet people will be cancelling their shifts
left and right.. to which you can easily cash
in on that. and who knows, maybe you will score
a permanent job.... if thats what you are
wanting with kmart

Well a few of the people that work there, started off like I did.. and they said most people usually get kept on..

I had an assessment the other day with my manager, and she said I was doing extremely well considering I had just started, and that if I keep going the way I am that I will most likely be asked to stay on after January..

So yeah, I am assuming I will continue working for Kmart after January..

if that would have happened to me...and i agree with shatzy, no one should have to work before noon, and everyone should get off work at around 3:00....that seems like that would work well for everyone

Yeah, if everybody only worked noon to 3pm, that'd be sweet. Then whenever you EVER wanted to do ANYTHING... you couldn't, coz you'd be working. Then when you knock off, you still couldn't, coz everything would be closed.
