A couple of nights ago, on the way back home from Little Rock, there was a semi going in the opposite direction. It appeared as if the tire came off front driver side rim, and it was shooting sparks all over the road way.....
As we got closer, i realized that it was not just the rubber part of the tire that came off....the ENTIRE RIM came off the axle.
At one point, you could see the rim fly across our side of the interstate, it looked really cool though, because it was heated so much, it was glowing a bright orange as it went across our path.
Once the rim finally came completely off, the front driver side of the truck was not sliding across the interstate, sending up a shower of sparks. It looked like the driver finally brought it to a stop safely on teh side of the road, which, in my opinion, was an incredible accomplishment, considering the size of the vechicle, and lack of steering.
anyways, it was quite impressive, we called the cops to report it, so maybe they could get some help out to him fairly quick.....that's all i know.

Maybe it is, and he used the truck scenario as a metaphor. I mean, he's talking about rims, things shooting off... who knows.
