when i was working at baskin robbins, we used glue traps to catch some mice....
WARNING: the following story contains graphic violence and adult situations.
it was probably the most disgusting thing i have ever seen. two mice were trapped during the night, so they were on the traps for hours. when i and another worker arrived the next morning, we found one with its leg nearly gnawed off and the other had apparently gotten its face stuck to the glue and ripped it off. it was clearly in shock. it makes me sick just thinking about it. i would NEVER use one of those traps and if i knew someone was using one, i would steal it and throw it away because there is no reason to cause a mouse that much suffering...i mean, its not like we have a problem with the plague these days. why not just let the little bastards live?

yeah...suffocating is such an easy way to go...I hope I go out that way...
well, i was referring to the fact that at least mine didn't gnaw off it's leg, rip it's face off and then die from starvation....

i could definatly think of worse ways to go than suffocation.. ya would lose consciousness after a few minutes.. what about being burnt alive.. or being eaten alive... or spend an evening at U2 concert since about 1988. BAM!

I think a guy died in my area a while back from Hantivirus,which comes from being exposed to mouse droppings.
I catch gophers all the time out in my fields with "gripper traps".I Find the tunnel,set the trap,and when the little gopher crawls over the trap and pushes the trip mechanism,the trap springs and two metal wire jaws come from either side and grip,grab,stab the gopher.
If you dont take care of the gophers they make a hell of a mess in your fields.
Some people use poisen,but you never know if you got them or not,I prefer traps.
not to mention how terrible poison is to the environment!
