I too tryed to get through Decard Kains portal, Shifty ...lol. I was more shocked to what they did to good ol Griswald....the scottish speaking Blacksmith..its was like killing Grounds Keeper Willy They should have zombiefied the guy who ran the inn..he was useless lol

So seeing we have a little hoard of "Diablo'ers" .... including a cat who does'nt cheat

Whats everyones best or favourite item,
modified or otherwise???
I have some cracking armour, shield and one evil ring ....I'll jot down the stats &
post them if anyone else posts thiers

I think my favorite item is a spear that has 3 sockets filled with flawless diamonds and ruby's, has a huge bonus against...well...ALL enemies, shock, fire, frost enhanced, super durable/light weight, increased healing/mana recharge/light radius, with a few cool spells mingled in.

If you play a hardcore game, you'll need a weapon like that.

Trust me.

Oh, and you haven't played Diablo2 until you've played hardcore. It's simply amazing

Don't have my stats right in front of me, but I'm only around level 14 (just haven't had a lot of time to play).

My current favorite item is my chain mail armor with 3 sockets filled with chipped stones. It's given me added life, mana, replenish life, and resistance to some stuff. It's good armor for how early in the game I'm at.

still having posting problems think its my
ISP. posting takes ages....half a blue bar....5 minutes later just jumps to posted screen....adjusted explorer to refresh page when visited....no difference. Sometimes if I leave the site then come back...I see my post other times not...had a short post that for some reason when I hit return to move down line decided to post, I came back to delete it it said no-way but now its gone?
I think "worts" inside my machine with his leg

my character is the expansion druid, but he was also my test character for loading items in...I'm useing those items on act one
by first pumping up my character stats then loading items in bit by bit.
(I can here the hiss of the cat lol)
I have had problems with the "hired" character....me being me...pumped her up to
and gave her items.....it crashed out, so I had to set her as "dead" mind you with the stuff I have most things on act one drop dead before getting to me and with all spells on level 20
I must say in the cats defence, you do end up chucking stuff without IDing it because its useless....draw backs are repairing things, but just duck out refill gold
it does however give you the chance to wander all over the place without ever fearing you'll die. Whacking bosses once and watching them die is satisfying
before trainers I have a tough time on act 2
killing the final boss, opened many a portal to escape to town for more mana,health....about 4 goes I think.
One thing I miss from Diablo 1 ...are the sections which had closeable gates..loved to open uh-oh...shut lol...firewall in front of gate...its got through run,run lol

I get those same problems on occasion stingger. I thnk some of it is Hostboard, it really does slow down sometimes. Just use shift+refresh a lot. Also, if the blue bar goes about halfway when you post something, then it probably posted ok. The slow down just seems to be getting back to the topic thread itself.

So far, my "partner" is doing well, except that she kills some monsters before I get to them and so she's getting the experience points. But, it's worth it, she's saved my ass a few times.

I do miss that in Diablo you could close gates on monsters. And that everyone could cast spells. Now, they're just "skills", which is also cool, just wish I had both abilities.

Finally went to "Moo Moo level" with the cows
was fun, but my soceress has all the good stuff and a level 20 chain lightening sorted out the cows
Have you bought anything for your "partner" Bran??? it pays to look after them
Usually (not cheating) your old cast offs are good ...don't worry if they get killed
you can resurrect them for a fee
Think I'm going to go retro and try and find Diablo 1 for pc see what its like
