Well my ISP did'nt inform me that my card failed, but more seriously changed the dial-up number and never told me.
Sorted number out (2 days) o.k.
Card only just sorted out today, some 6 days
and 12 e-mails later and only because I phoned them up. Surprise, surprise I recieve
12 e-mails today ... 11 the same where I spammed them out of bordom and one telling
me not to swear at them lol
nightmare ... especially when on a tight budget.

i agree with the frustration (and lack of professionalism)
on behalf of the ISPs (and other assorted companies)
that choose to perform certain actions without
notifying the subscriber.
i also assume that most ISPs tend to initiate
a notification via *their* email accounts...
as was witnessed by my old dial-up ISP that
sent maintenance notifications through their
own email server... and since i didn't use their
email services (even if it WAS free with the
ISP), i never got receipt of the notice.
this is rather absurd considering (in my experience)
there was no option to enter some other contact
information... and it seems as if they would
be damned to call me... so i guess its just up
to you to get screwed time and time again since
the companies refuse to bend toward the customer
and convenience.
i hope this changes
