i've never cared for britney spears... and this
whole pregnancy thing supported that greatly.
i remember her bitching about (and ultimately
denying) the 'rumors' of her pregnancy. this
wouldn't have been so bad had she not been a
dumb bitch and said ridiculously awful things
to the magazines reporting the news early.

spears was only pissed because they broke the
news first and she didn't get her gay headlines.
<font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">it's humorous how she talks so much shit about"I could be suing everybody for misrepresenting or misjudging character," the actress said. "At the end of the day, hopefully people realize that the tabloids are just awful. They sell magazines based on negative stories about people, I mean no one's going to buy happy stories."
the tabloids and yet, comes out the liar herself.
tsk tsk.
i'm sorry to turn this thread into a soapbox,
i really had no intention of even mentioning
britney spears and her bullshit... until i saw
that a thread about her existed.
it's a shame that so many people are willing to
vault other people on pedistals (and keep them
there) when such things happen. i find it
disgusting.
but the tabloids do post ridiculous/vindictive stories all the time...and mrs. Spears is a prime target...would you want your pregnancy announced in a tabloid?...so what if she lied to the tabloids...they do it every day...hell they were probably just making shit up when they reported she was pregnant and just got lucky...
the tabloids have been saying she was pregnant ever since she got married. Half of them claimed that's why she even got married. It was inevitable that they get lucky since she was saying even before the marriage that she was ready for a baby. Every month one would report she was pregnant and she'd have to deny it. Almost a, "Not yet, damn it! But I'm working on it" kind of deny. She is a public figure (I understand that) but she's also human...I'd get fed up too.
On a much lighter note...how she goes into gas station bathrooms shoeless is beyond me.
she's such a dirty girl...I bet she does it in the butt too...
i guess i should have rephrased to be a bit more
clear. with this particular 'tabloid' exposure,
spears was pregnant and denied it.
i totally see what you are saying, italipino,
and to an extent, i agree with both of what
you two are saying. i'm sure celebrities have
it hard with a bunch of people saying stuff
about them all the time. (but seriously, who
falls into fame in america and remains clueless
about such qualities of being a celebrity??)
regardless, i meant to show that spear's
particular slag of the mouth was ridiculously
rude and ridiculous when it seems that (to me)
she would have gained (my) respect had she just
said, "yeah... i'm pregnant" when they said it...
not insult them in such a way as to completely
undermine them as people.
<font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">the last 'comment' is so short on grammar thatDo you, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star and other desperate magazines want employees who are honest, or those who are liars?
{...}
Your employees are a reflection of your magazine. I'm really concerned about the people you hire to work at your companies.
I'd like them to ask themselves the question, `What am I lying to myself about?' Is it that you are 50 pounds overweight? Is it that your children aren't making wise decisions? Or is it maybe that your husband or boyfriend is cheating on you?
i honestly can't really tell what she is saying.
however, i feel it's wrong to condescend them
by stating that their position causes them to
lie when, in fact, she is only being a hypocrite.
it would be one thing if she had found jesus and
was actually trying to be a better human being,
but taking potshots because she feels she can
is just absurd.
spears also touts PEOPLE as being upstanding,
when PEOPLE is no different than US (weekly).
I wonder if she was aware of her pregnancy at the time the articles came out...and at the time she made these statements...
<font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Since when did she become and actress?"I could be suing everybody for misrepresenting or misjudging character," the actress said.
