ok. here is the original gif.

right click, save.
go to profiles, click on CUSTOM.
upload the saved image.
this should bring you back to
the profiles page. (if not, go back to it)
now go to the avatar section,
and click CUSTOM again.

that should fix it.

if not, you have no business owning
or using a computer.
