Am I an alcoholic?...

Ok...so I have had at least a beer everyday for at least the past 3 weeks...and have drank on a regular basis for a while now...well normally, I have something to drink before I got to bed...never during the day...last night I didn't drink anything before going to bed...and I slept horribly...I was tossing and turning all night...I woke up this morning and felt like total shit...I felt like I had a hang over from hell...all day I have been jittery, and my body feels really weird...the feeling I'm having is what I always figured a junky would feel when detoxing...

I wouldn't think that alcohol would be the cause of this...but I have had some form of alcohol in me for at least the past 3 weeks straight...and the one time I don't I feel very strange...I'm not craving a beer or anything...but I tried to think about drinking one and imagining how I would feel, and I got the feeling that it would cure the strange feeling I'm having...opinions?...

i dunno that your sleeping horribly is the cause
of alcohol... but the fact that you woke up and
felt the way you did... it could be.
when your body is used to getting something and
then it suddenly doesn't... your body goes through
something similar to that.

and yes... i think you are an alcoholic.

Oh yeah...2 nights straight without alcohol...I even went to a bar tonight...and I drank water...a pitcher of water at that....

P.S. A free beer was even brought to our table...I didn't drink it...I let it sit there...

i think wes is a good person... and a fun person.
i've been around him sober... and since he's been
on this drinking kick... shit hasn't been cool
at least... in as far as wes being like he used
to be.

ok sure... wes has drank before... and from
what i know, wes used to drink alot....

but i know that i have been around wes when
he isn't drinking.... and i like that wes better.

(which is prolly why i haven't seen wes in a long time -- i cramp his style)

oh and as for alcoholism i believe the defining terms of alcoholism is one of two things


1. you cant go a day without a drink ... or
2. when you start drinking you cant stop till you are totally trashed

So by you going todays without drinking i think this would exclude you from being an alcoholic unless everytime you drink its too excess but as you said you have 'A' drink before you go to bed id suggest that rules you out also
