Dude, I used to live by the tortured artist philosophy that I was happiest when I was most miserable - happy being sad. Then, I realized that only thing/person torturing myself was me. I pulled myself out of my pity party, and then mostly nothing but good things have happened ever since, almost immediately. You can't get a woman like my wife acting sad all the time. Anyway, as much as I love Nirvana, I'm glad I broke out of my pseudo-Kurt persona.
