i discussed it with my teacher today and she doesnt think the vineyard opption is that good because i wouldnt be developing my ideas in technique sense but rather photo devoping.
she uses a board a girl did last yeah as an example and she went to the roses gardens we have here and focused on these arches, then she focused on the shadows of the archs and then again on the opposites of the shadows by making transperent negatives.
**starts pulling out hair** i can feel the stress already

well i thought of an idea today and my teacher ok'd it!!
i am going to start the beginning of my board with photographs of my mothers wooden chess board and then creat my own real life one.
im going to get black and white squares of material to make the bottom of the chess board and then get my friends to act as the prowns etc.
then to develop it i am going to play with the negatives on the computer so that the real wooden pieces become bigger and the human pieces/bodies became the original size of the wooden ones.
what do you all think?

oh man... damn you, wild....
i so wish i was at the strand right now...
on a GOOD sunny day... blowing some cash in
those over-priced tourist traps and snagging
a ride on those horsey carts
its a bittersweet memory
(so i'm glad its flooding!!!!)
