Jara sat inside her custom pimped up neon pink SUV, taking deep breaths. The trip to the book shop was uneventful, but she did learn a few things thanks to Eve's less than subtle tips. Even the new owner Kanvas Aron was pretty much forth coming with any information she could provide, and the pair ended up talking more about each others ink jobs and random piercing's. Jara just had that knack of knowing how to strike up the right conversations when she needed to.

She was just beginning to call the PSD to check in when she was hit with another wave of serious nausea, the worse yet, as her head felt like it was being turned inside out. Luckily her meds kicked right in as promised, or she would have been puking all over herself, as well inside the car, and that's one lingering scent you don't want to have to smell!!

Truth be known, Jara hadn't felt the same sense that paranormal battle royal, where Anti-Steele got a little nasty with her, resulting in her physical form being a little ... Mangled beyond normal means, especially her facial features. *Rhydin* Jarrod did what he could, and in the end, she found herself liking the new look. Problem was, the whole restoration process set her back as far as controlling her abilities, almost to the point when she first had them.

How did Dr. Hanson put it? "You remember, but your new body doesn't. In time, you'll be able to realign." Realign?? What was she a car?? But the Doc was right on target with her assessment. Jara didn't want to be taken out of the field, so a deal was made to where she'd have to take medication to fend off the seizures, and save for the Doc and Evan, no one else knew.

Cranking up the AC as far as it would go began to cool her off some, though she was still covered in sweat. (m) "If nae fer bad luck, I'd hav' no luck at all." Collecting herself enough to drive, she'd make a short detour at Steele's place to shower and change. Upon reaching her room, a trail of clothing was left until the bathroom was reached, and setting the water temp on cool, Jara sat beneath the steady massage stream jets, as things slowly began returning to normal.

Truth be known, she was scared to death of a little *new* ability she had gained, to foresee another's death. Sort of like that movie the Dead Zone. Lords beyond, she hoped *NOT* exactly like that!!! Her *first* vision had been during their battle against Dark Steele, when she *saw* Evan's death .... It wasn't fair that after all the shit they'd been through, this was the pay off???

Resisting the urge to sit there forever, Jara pulled herself up to her feet, shutting off the shower, and sloshing her way back into her bedroom to find some more clothes to wear. Stopping to glance at herself in the mirror, the reflection viewing back at her with stranger's eyes ...

(m) "I guess th' glass broke fer me after all."
