I wanted to start a thread about boost gauges.
What type to buy?
How much?
How do you install them, and how difficult is it?
Is it worth it?

1.I have an autometer ultralight, works fine.
2. about 45 bucks from summit
3.just tee into a vacum line that connects to your JR manifold-no prob.
4. I would get it- make sure your seeing full boost.

If you go with the Autometer (like I also did), you'll need to purchase a 't'. I picked up a brass one along with some fittings at Lowes for under $5.

If you have the right size tee I dont think there will be a problem. Mine shows no sign of coming loose. And I really dont think it will. if you did happen to spring a leak you would know it because your car would idle high(I think) or if it was leaking only under boost, you wouldn't see full boost. But to be honest its not something(in my opinion) that you would have to worry about.

Is there a chance that the T might bleed boost somehow? I mean when you start srewin with stuff then something always goes wrong? Not to say that something will I suppose, but I may be a little wary of cutting the hose. Has anyone had any problems with the T's coming loose or loosing pressure(leakage)?
