Bernie Mack is good. Loved him in the newest Charlie's Angels movie.
My fave is a tie between Ellen DeGenerous and Wendy Liebman. I love Ellen's type of humor. Been a fan of hers long before her tv show and all the hoopla that followed.
Wendy Liebman may not be known to many. First saw her in the late '80s. Smart, smart humor. Still does tours throughout the country. Has had a few Showtime and/or HBO specials over the years.
Stephen Wright.
"I had a light switch in my house that didn't turn anything on or off. When I got bored I'd flick it up and down. Finally one day I got a letter from Germany. All it said was "Cut it out.""

Lenny Bruce, Andy Kaufman.
(shakes fist) "You damn kids!"
Yeah, Steve Wright is a good one. He's so cynical & dry with one-liners one after another.

Hey, it asked for your favorite comedian, not just the legendary ones. :P
They ARE my favorite ones, because they slightly skewed peoples expectations of what a "comedian" actually does/should do.
Good point.
George W Bush cause he thinks he's NOT funny
