If you are like me you may have hundreds of dusty record albums(or cassettes) that are not available on Cd, and you would like to back them up to disc. I will show you how to do it.
You will need a few things before we get started.
First thing you will need a working stereo with turntable (or cassette player). It needs to have one of two things to get the signal to a computer. The best choice is Line Out on the back, If it does not have a Line out, it needs a headphone jack.
Second you will need a cable to run from the stereo to the computer.
If you have a line out on your stereo yo will need a cable that has a stereo 1/8 inch mini (male) to a Y RCA male conecter

If your stereo only has a headphone output you will need a cable that is Male 1/8 inch mini male to 1/8 inch mini male

on the back of most computers will be three mini 1/8 inch inputs (Speakers, Mic In, Line In)

Then the last thing you need is a uploading program. I am using an older version of Musicmatch jukebox right now. I will search and try to find some alternative programs for those that are interested

I am very interested in this subject matter.
Thanks for the lessons!
I would love to be able to put my cassette music onto CD and on MySpace!
Thanks Rusty!
