I never got much into the European theater, but when it comes to the U.S.-Japanese war in the Pacific, I have always been a geek. I think it's an amazing story, that begins long before Pearl Harbor, of course, but that's the main focus (well, the Battle of Midway is THE high point, but Pearl Harbor is where you start)....
I was never in the military, nor am I a big "war buff" but I of course know some of the history. Not enough to start some kind of overly definative conversation without having to check some facts though.
