Abe & Friends at NAMM

I received an e-mail newsletter from Worship Alliance regarding Abe Laboriel and friends in concert during the NAMM show. It doesn't mention who the drummer will be though. Possibly, Vinnie?

On the e-mail, there is a picture of Vinnie, so one would presume he would be there, but not entirely sure. As they came to the UK in the summer and Sheila E was on drums.

im heading out to NAMM this jan for the first time....cant wait!

who else is going?....maybe we can have an international HOD drink!!

any advice from veteran NAMM guys on the show? where to stay etc?

du think i'll be going in everyday, r there always different shows etc happening?

Louie, I will be there all week, Monday thru Sunday. Let's definetly hook up. LADanny will be there and I spoke with Derek last night and he will be there.
During the day a typical NAMM experience is the same, what changes is whom you might see walking around or signing stuff at booths or maybe giving a brief performance at a booth, Pearl had a kewl sound booth last year as did Evans featuring the Peter Erskine quartet.
It's at night that things come alive, first with the after NAMM hang over at the Hyatt in the bar, that's where you run into EVERYONE........then it's off to dinner and a company sponsered show.
You will have fun guaranteed.
Where to stay? Go to NAMM.com or NAMM.org, there are listings of all the hotels surrounding the convention center, which for the most part are within walking distance.

Just so you know, Glenn Noyes told me that Yamaha Groove Night is NO MORE.... But, definetely check out the Sabian show on Friday. Weckl will probably open it, as he did in years past.

I'll be going as a media representative for basstasters.com, so I'll be there.

a friend was generous to pick up tickets for me. i haven't seen vinnie in a while, so it should be a treat. now if i could only get in to the sabian night, or the yamaha groove night!
