80s American cop film last night, and in one part
the cops are on rollerskates, and wearing those
knee-length white socks with the three dark
rings across the top, and then I realised, those
are one of the things I miss about 80s fashions,
if only because I never got to own a pair.

Oh yeh.. Match those up with a scuffed pair of
Dunlop Flash, or worse still, those slip-on
black - 'daps' (in Wales), 'plimmies' (in England)
- with the elasticated square on the top, and,
of course, the skidmarked powder blue Y-fronts
(because the kit had been forgotten), and one
was truly the height of gym-hall fashion!
People always remember Y-fronts, but never those
silly 'Y' cardigans, which were inspired by
'Grease'?
