so there is this local metal bar thats having a 'metal kareokee' contest...$5k first prize. 24 contestants, 4 nights of singing, and alot of drinking (for them)
so i signed up...im not sure why. so i go last night...
18 of the 24 people competing were too drunk to sing by the time it was their turn. sad. there were 2 girls that were doing a fairly good job, imo....one did an AMAZING rendition of green days Longview (not metal imo).
everyone had to sing twice...i went fairly early, and the song pickins were slim, but some decent stuff to pick from. first i sang Korns 'Ya'll wanna single' and saved Fear Factorys 'Self Bias Resistor' for second. anyhow
next month in the second round we have to sing 80's hair metal that the assign us...round 3 is Double Heavy (???), and if you make it to the 4th round you submit songs for a live band to learn and play.
my throat hurts....

not in the first night....but from here out they cut the field in 1/2 ever night....leaving 6 for the finals.
cokie monster in my metal mentor....think about it, cookies voice is all death.
