Hey guys, found this clip on youtube of Social D playing "untitled" in Germany. I was wondering who is playing bass in this clip because it certainly isnt John Maurer.

Yeah it is!!! I sure wish he change his mind and come back on the summer tour!!! I have this DVD Lve in Germany They're all HOT!!!!!
I'm pretty partial to the present bass player. He's pretty damn hot, and an amazing bass player to boot. I think the band line-up is pretty perfect as it is.

Those who have seen any of the shows since Brent joined and compare them to the last ones where John was still with Social D I'm sure you and everyone will see that Brent brought in a whole s**tload of energy.
The band lineup is perfect...and Danny should finally become a full-fledged member as well!

Hey, I do want to revise my last nights post. I went out and watched fireworks, had way too much to drink and it was late....... I've been watching the Live in OC video and Live in Germany and have pretty much only seen John performing and I do like him and wish I could have seen him live. No offense to Brent that was just my opinion. The only video I've seen Brent in is on you tube - Live in Ventura, so when they come to Red Rocks I'm sure my opinion will change. I'm new here,so I don't want to piss any one off, and I have been told that Brent does post here, so again, no offense, it's just ignorance.
I do want to talk more about the Live in Germany dvd. At the beginning the guy does announce John Maurer. But I have some other Questions. I really love the song "Can't Run No More" I'm hoping that someday it does get recorded and released. Has anyone been able to make out the first 2 lines of that song and also right after "When there's nothing else and no one else to blame"?
And who is the Kelly Family that pissed Mike off so much that he could write songs?
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Hey...welcome to the board...noone's mad at ya!Quote:

Participate and you'll see that sxdx is a great community...
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Didn't the guy mess up most of the names? Dennis Donnell? ;-) Hilarious! He also interviewed Mike when Social D was here in Germany last summer...Quote:

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">The Kelly family is a huge freaky family from the US that has been living in Germany for ages...they played old and original songs on the streets, playing 300-400 "shows" a year...and then...BOOM...they had one of their self-released records in the charts selling out stadiums! I must say that it's not my type of music and the family has a reputation for being a bit...smelly...but...I respect them for their endurance and I could think of better bands who piss me off! ;-)Quote:

They played for a handful of folks for little money on the streets and stayed humble when they made it big...well...they've traded their trailer for a run-down castle but other than that...
Here's their homepage: http://www.kellyfamily.de/index.php
and here's a bit on them on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Family
Gee...when I reread that, I sound like a fan! Trust me..I'm not! ;-)
