1. Dan Reed Network - B-Sides

2. Embrace - The Good Will Out
I went shopping around our local HMV's Bargain Basement today.
I bought three CDs, and this was one of them. Worth it if
only for the first track (on the mp3) called 'One Big Family'.
('Get ready, for the judge in me!') Embrace's post-Oasis, sub-
Oasis cobblers is invariably a hit-and-miss affair (mostly
because of the vocalist, Danny's much derided voice), but
there's enough here to keep one entertained.

3. Billy Idol - Vital Idol
This was another one. (The third was Massive Attack's 'Blue
Lines'.) I was dubious about this for various reasons. Firstly,
there is, at least, two big typos on the back of CD. (Why?)
Secondly, 'Vital Idol' was originally released in 1990-something.
Is this the same CD? It's so long ago that I originally bought
it, that I can't remember. If it is the same, then they've
replaced the original artwork (Billy crucifixed to a power
generator) with something much more boring.
Thirdly, this 'remix' CD is so-called '24-bit digitally
remastered'. Can you tell? I don't know. I mixed the
tracks (for the mp3) in a 32-bit environment. Does that
improve things? Probably not. (I could tediously tell you
why, but I can't be arsed.) Nevertheless, this is great
80s-arama. 'Flesh For Fantasy' still sounds amazing!

System 400 - All My Options Are No Options
This is my first CD released via mp3.com. I did everything:
all instruments, all vocals, all mixing, etc. My music has
experienced something of a second wind since I enrolled at
university, a year or two ago.
