What are some simple tunes with a drum chart so I can build up my sight reading chops?
The Ultimate play-along books by Weckl are great and a quick way to get initiated into reading charts. They cover a nice range of styles. However, they should be used along with a good book that covers a broad range of rhythmic figures like a good basic snare drum book and a book of swing figures.
If memory serves, Houghton's Essential Styles books are full of charts.
