I am going to watch to see is someone bids on it.

My Lindsay came in a regular AGOT box
LOL!
Call me crazy, but.... I was thrilled to see that listed.I plan on bidding if it does not go too high.I recently won a Lindsey with no box (I have not paid yet and she is not here yet- but soon.)
I also need a couple more regular empty doll boxes.I am glad some people list the empty boxes.
EDIT: OH DRAT! It already has a bid.Maybe I better set my standards lower and look for regular empty AGOT boxes.

Who cares about a BOX? My Lindsey came in a regular AGT box, too, and it's the box Ruthie's traveling in. The only other boxes I keep are Marisol's and my Gotz Lil Sister Tess'.
I know it sounds kind of wild, but I can understand it. If you wanted to give a doll to your dd as a special gift, a pretty original box would add a lot to it (plus, think of the resale value! LOL!)
The boxes definitely add to the resale value. But it does sound kind of funny, doesn't it? For sale--an empty AG box???
Last year I finally got rid of almost all of my AGT boxes and only kept some for Christmas wrapping. DS wasn't too thrilled to unwrap presents and discover an AG box.
I have kept all of our doll and historical clothing/accessories boxes and I'm not sure why. I can't see me ever selling or getting rid of anything. And with limited storage space, I've pretty much decided to pare down the doll box collection to only keep the Kailey and Marisol boxes. If space gets really tight I will part with the historical clothing/accessory boxes, too.
American_Mommy, if you need any historical boxes, PM me. I should have 6 or 7.
Doll boxes make good beds, too. If you decide that one or more of your collection needs not to be out and about, letting her retire to her box is a good option. I try not to make it a punishment (as in Go To Your Box!).
I kept all my doll boxes and furniture boxes. I even kept a lot of the outfit boxes, but I have been getting rid of those by recycling them for other gifts. I thought I would keep the boxes just in case we decided to put some things away for awhile to rotate the collection. We are running out of room and when we get the Felicity table, the Samantha table will have to be put away for awhile.
