You go from selling 5 million copies of Stay Hungry to doing this? I don't get it.

haha. a gig is a gig. maybe it's just a side project, or he's buddies with them or somethin? ya never know...I know some high profile people that have done tribute bands or been in bands just to help out their friends...not unheard of all
He's just about to start a UK tour with Thin Lizzy too, with John Sykes, Scott Gorham and Michael Lee.
how about going from selling 5 million copies of Stay Hungry to playing drums in a local cover band in scranton pa?
<font size="4" face="Arial">Who did that? You don't live in Scranton, do you?Quote:

I don't know, if he is doing that Lizzy stuff (which is a tribute basically also), maybe he is just keeping busy. Was he on the Twisted reunion stuff? He doesn't look happy in his promo pic, does he?
Heck though, he also sold those 5 million copies 20+ years ago. He REALLY needs to get back to The Dictators.
yes i live in scranton and i have never seen one damn royalty check from those 5 million albums we sold.
but seriously, AJ Pero played in a band called Arc Angel around here after his Twisted Sister days. Carl from Manowar was the guitarist in Arc Angel as well. they had a bunch of originals that were pretty good (pre AJ joining) and almost had a deal with Atlantic. they took out a big loan to do some recording, they laid down the songs, the singer then laid down with the rest of the bands girlfriends and wifes then took off and left them holding the check sort of speaking. they do a great version of tracks of my tears. i have a copy of their stuff if you are interested. AJ doesn't play on it though.
Well, I am always interested in stuff. But no big deal. Now, if you told me they sucked horribly, you know I would be begging you for it.
Wasn't there another band named Arc Angels?
I love stories of bands fucking up shit once signed. Do you remember Holland? They are a local band from around here, they even played with us a few times. Anyhoo, typical story, got signed, released an album the critics raved about, toured the world, got a huge amount for the second album, and it all went up the vocalists nose in the form of white powder. He proceeded to finally get the second one done, but had done soooo much blow, that his voice was cashed. When we finally got around to playing with him, mucho blow later, and booze later, his voice made ME sound like friggin' Steve Perry! Still looked good though, so he atleast was still getting laid. well, i would describe them as a cross between Bon Jovi and Dokken in their heydays so you might think that they suck horribly. =)
and the other Arc Angel(s) were from Texas i believe and had some wiz kid as a guitarist. Marc, maybe you can help here?
Charlie Sexton...right?
Yeah, they would suck, but not in the fun way.
Charlie Sexton, that's it! they were semi big for a time there weren't they? i think i remember the media making a big fuss over him.
