Most likely muslin for the caps, a heavy broadcloth or homespun type material for the aprons. The aprons had to be able to stand up to a LOT of wear and washing. Most people only had 3 or 4 changes of clothes (and this number included their nightclothes), and women had many many different aprons that they would wear to protect their dresses. When something was spilled, you just washed your apron instead of having to wash your dress. That way your clothes lasted a lot longer. Washboards are brutal!

Yep, I agree, muslin or linen for the caps and a heavy duty cloth for the aprons. Also she does have a beautiful lace cap that I love from her summer out fit (my favorite on her!).

I think her AG caps and aprons are made from cotton (or similar?) cloth.

The AG ones are definately cotton. Her school outfit mob cap is a lot heavier than her Meet cap, but I haven't had it out in a couple of months so I don't remember exactly how heavy it is to try and guess what the fabric is.

Does anyone know what kind of fabric Felicity's caps and aprons are made out of? Or what would have been historically correct?
I was thinking muslin or maybe a broadcloth, but not sure. Her cap with the traveling gown is a very fine material and I wondered what it is made from too? Thanks!
