what is humility to you?
to me...
humility is hacking away at my heart
because it's filled with too much of me..
foolish pride gets me nowhere
except such arrogance and selfishness
that makes me an undesireable person
.. it's not striving for greatness
rather,
it's striving to be small..
as small as ants on a sidewalk
or a bird's toe..
because i can never appreciate the light
if i don't first live in darkness..
to be big...
i have to start small
so today..
instead of jumping and trying to reach the stars..
i'm just gonna grab a ladder..
