I had my Carmel Enclosures refinished with the understanding that I would replace the grill cloth when they were finished. Little did I know. The original construction was to wrap the cloth around the baffel board and staple it on the back along the top and bottom. It was also stapled to the front of the baffel board along the sides. The front vertical trim strips cover the front staples.
I removed these trim strips by removing three screws from the inside of the empty cabinet. Then with a sharp knife I cut out the old cloth and removed the staples. I used an 1/8" sheet of masonite to make a frame. The frame is approx 23" x 33" with a cutout 19" x 25". The frame was painted flat black and sprayed with 3M 77 adhesive to attach the new cloth. The new frame with cloth is held inplace by the two vertical trim strips. This keeps the curved shape, since the frame is flexible.
I hope this is usefull to others.
