is there a support group?

my DH spent saturday and part of Sunday on the acquisition of two more stoves (chambers of course). we now own 4 in various stages of usability. i couldn't even look at the two new ones.

We did get a "mini single pot" never saw on of these. it's a wearever, with the lid and clips and it's round but its about half the size of a normal single pot. i wonder if someone put it in the dryer and shrunk it.

That small pot is the Double Boiler - quite hard to find.

It clips to the underside of the lid of the large kettle.

Your "Idle Hour" Cookbook (do you have one?) tells how to make best use of the Double Boiler.

no Todd, it is an exact miniature of the single pot.

it has a lid with the handle on top that fits on the pot. the pot has the side clips/clamps that clamp the list on to the pot.

Wear-Ever made at least 2 pots that are shorter than the full-sized one, but just as big around. It was part of their "Fireless Pots" line. If I can remember to look tonight, I'll post a picture from their early catalog (early 1900's) that shows the dimensions of the different ones.

I keep telling people that you can never have just one, but they look at me like I'm crazy.

I have seen other pots that are the same dimensions as the regular pots, but they are only about 5 or 6 inches tall. I would think that they would work just as well as the big ones for smaller amounts of food.

It's not the double boiler that attaches to the underside of the single pot, it's a complete pot with clips and a fitted lid. it really looks like a mini single pot. i have one of the double boiler pots.
