I'm thinking of reviving it with Darren's help, and would like feedback from posters here. Darren's idea of music downloads is good, and it's fine with me. Any other suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you.

We'll probably have to undertake some sort of user
feedback about including broadband-speed video
streaming, because it would obviously be pointless
if the majority of people are logging in on dail-up,
but hey, the option's there at least.
What's the DR URL?

I should also mention, I suppose, that I'll produce
all the video content. I'm set up to capture/encode
every format - DVCAM, VHS, NTSC, miniDV, DVPRO, etc.
- so it should be good laugh, digitizing old promo
vids, rare material, anything which takes our fancy,
for public reconsumption. If people would like to
mail me video for inclusion, that's cool.

Wasn't this the board you two started in an attempt to usurp glitz? It, of course, failed when you two started to fight. Hence, everybody came back here (including you two).
Wow, yeah, I remember that. No, again, I am not planning on going there. Peace.

Okay. My bad. I stand corrected. Sorry.

I hit too many damn sites, so I will have to pass more than likely. I know how devastating this news is for you guys, but I am sure you can get by without my wonderful input into it.

Firstly, Cotton:
Glitzinet has re-emerged. Bravo. More power to
it. It's still slow and crap though. I can't stand
sitting here, with my state-of-art ADSL2 connection,
waiting for its beleagured bollox to download all
the necessary emoticon graphics. DR wouldn't do
that, I hope.
Secondly, Carl:
DR will be cool enough not to care about the hoi
polloi's tedious opinon, and will generate
so much exclusivity, that it'll practically
demand the hoi polloi's tedious opinion?

Actually Lycan, you was right.
The DR board wasn't started when Gnet was between the old URL and hostboard, it started when there was an air of contempt over the censorship which led to FoxKids.
From what I recall, it was already done by the time Gnet was in limbo, circa May '03, when everyone was on Glitzitoo.

Actually, it was one of the boards started when Gnet was between...whatever it was between, when its fate was up in the air. People left when Gnet reappeared in its new URL.
If I had any inkling of it becoming like, say, JJ's board became, I would pull the metaphorical plug on the whole idea.
I said it would be heavilly moderated.
