Palin is the modern, female Teddy oosevelt; pro-America, anti-machine politician, and utterly unafraid of conflict with anyone. She is intelligent, tough, ambitious, and as inspirational as Roosevelt , with the ability to understand, communicate with and relate to the American people.
She's a hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and conservationist, as TR was. Same political experience, and pro-family to boot.
Moreover, her political enemies are completely afraid of her... just like Roosevelts' were.

Big difference though in the fact that the party bosses put TR in the VP spot in the hopes of shutting him up, neutralizing him. The thought of McKinley being removed from office was so remote in their minds they never considered they were giving TR an open door to the presidency.
