Of course
There have been at least 4 or 5 in-depth threads here on HOD dedicated to Dave. Try a search
Yeah.... we've mostly heard of him, but I think most here at HOD think that Fredie Gruber is a much better drummer than he is.
Right guys??
Search for the video Steve made called Traditional grip vs. matched grip. It mentions Fredie there.
ps.... welcome to the jokers at HOD.
Meridian, it was this site that introduced me to Dave. Wow. what an amazing player: Funky, powerful, dynamic, hip, great distinctive sound, tasteful, dynamic & creative!
Yep, do a search for the threads on HOD and check out the vids on his site. He was really well contrasted on here as guys posted vids and mp3's of his clinics where he just tore it up like mad and yet we also saw him with a singer/songwriter, where he played the most musical, tasteful pop grooves. An awesome musician.
Has anyone seen Dave Dicenso in concert or in a clinic? A buddy of mine saw him in a clinic setting with Stu Hamm and said he was unbelievable...sick grooves and monster chops
all the while being very musical. Anyone heard any info about him?
ugh
Oh and speaking of Dave, he is on the new John Petrucci (Dream Theater) solo album. I'm in the middle of downloading an advance copy as we speak... will share a standout track with HOD. Should be his best recording since Finn or Hiromi. We'll see!
