I work in a high school media center. Yesterday was a full day of school for us but not for all the kids in our area. One of my teacher friends mentioned on the way in on Monday that her 7-year-old daughter had no school and would be in mom's classroom for the day. I know this little girl has a well loved Skylar and a Bitty Baby but none of the "big girls" yet. My Asian AGOT was in need of a change of clothes. So wrapped in a pillowcase and with her meet outfit and the hair brush I brought her for the girl to play. Now I only wish I had a camera to capture the look of surprise!!

Aren't you thoughtful! I bet she had a blast.
My dd goes to work with her daddy about once a year and it seems someone always does some small favor for her when she is there, that she talks about for days afterwards. It means more to kids then you'd probably guess to have an adult do something kind like you did.
We gave my dd Felicity's bed and table and chairs for her birthday. I also had Maddy McPaddy's armoire, so my dh took it to work and asked the one of the people in the shop department to stain it for him, because they have a spray booth ( so it would look factory finished). He took a side rail from the bed to color match. That night he came home with an armoire that looked exactly like Felicity's except for hardware (which we can get locally).
My dd was thrilled of course, and didn't recognize at first it was Maddy McPaddie. When her dad told her his coworker stained it to match her bed, she almost teared up. After a pause she said " I *really* need to write him a thankyou letter!"

Your daughter sounds like a very thoughtful little girl, too!! Yes, my friend's little girl really enjoyed the doll and brought her back to me all dressed for spring. It made me so happy knowing a kid had fun with one of my treasures.

How cute!!!! Did the little girl had fun with your AGOT?? Hope it was a memorable day for both of you.

I'm quite sure she loved my AGOT. Both the little girl and her mom told me she played most all the day with the doll. She even made me a picture and tucked it inside the pillowcase.

That was very thoughtful!
