Hey everybody...
For financial reasons, I've decided to part ways with the 1965 Fender Bassman amp I bought from Mike Ness (via eBay) in September 2001. In the next few days, it should be listed back on eBay. Since I'm not very eBay savy, I'm having it sold through iSold It.com and I'm not sure what the title or description will be, but for anyone interested:
The original item# was 1464928346 and the auction ended on 09/19/2001. The description for the item was: 1965 Fender Bassman. Mike's '"signature sound"'. Used by Mike himself. Great condition. Sounds fantastic.
I've never used this amp outside of my house... it's never seen a stage or smokey room since I received it. I've played it for all of about 10 minutes total... aside from that it's been sitting around.
The amp is autographed by the whole band: Mike Ness, Jonny Wickersham, John Maurer, and Charlie Quintana. Instrument input #2 has been modified with a 'master" volume knob. There's a sticker on the back indicated where the amp was serviced in California... I assume this is where it was customized.
I don't want to make it sound like I'm trying to peddle junk on this board... just thought I'd throw out the offer to anyone who's into the vintage Fender sound or anyone who's interested in owning a Mike Ness collectable. I never thought I'd be selling this.. but having the amp sit there doesn't pay the bills. Thanks for reading this post... if you have any questions about it, let me know: [email protected]
