While I don't remember these dolls, it is a shame that they don't still have them in their magazine. They look interesting. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for posting that! Now I know I have all of them

I remember these dolls when I used to get the magazine. They were pretty cool.

I do remember those! I loved getting them in the magazine and then after I stopped subscribing, my school librarian saved the paper dolls from the magazines they got in and gave them to me. They were fun!

I remember those! I remember that AG used to have a paper-doll game under the Fun For Girls section, and you could read each of the girls' stories, and see how far back they could trace their ancestors to. I love geneology, sadly the most far my family on both sides can be traced is the mid 1850s. I wish there was some way to find out about the ancestors who came before then. Sorry, I'm rambling, lol, I'll stop talking now.

I certainly remember them. I have all of mine saved and have most if not all of them. I always meant to submit my own history for it, but I never got around to it. Plus, I can't trace my family very far.

The one that surprises me the most is Doll #44 from the Jan-Feb 2000 magazine, Kelly Jones, who could trace her family back to 1103 in England.

Yeah. I can't even trace my family back f a r t h e r than my great-great grandparents...

I LOVE geneoalogy so I always loved those! I got American Girl from the begining and it was my favorite part.
I think everyone's past is interesting. There are no "boring" stories
