i posted in on the white board but it got goffed which is cool. but look at the last two paragraphs, especially the last line. not very professional like. i like stuff neca makes and buy some of it but to bash mcfarlane who opened the door for them isnt right. especially when all they do is rehash properties mcfarlane has grown tired of. its no wonder mcfarlane deletes threads about neca products

Yeah, those comments surprised me.
All I know is that's some of the worst editoral writing I've ever read on a website. Even McFarlane does THAT better then NECA. [img]graemlins/gulp.gif[/img]
I don't care for most of the N*CA properties, but I'll give them benefit of the doubt that they were joking.... a bad, unprofessional joke, but their attempt at humor.
You're correct that they owe their very existance to the wake that McFarlane has created in the ocean of toys.
curious...I'm not sure how to take it.
It's funny, I realized the other day that I buy way more NECA product than McF at this point because they are making the figures I want to own. That doesn't mean the figures are superior to McF's, though...often they are not even close in quality. But I like the fact that other companies are making characters that we've asked McF to make for years on end to no avail. Sure, NECA is raping all the licenses McF has already used, but I for one am actually happy about that.
So I'd say NECA has plenty of support from fans at this point for what they are doing and how they are doing it, and I'm surprised to see them bashing McF, if that's what they are doing. My point being that McF basically gave them a blueprint of how to run their company, and it seems unecessary to disresepct McF like that.
Well, that is the typical pattern of youth... being ungrateful for everything their elders have provided for them, acting disrespectful until they become the elders and some OTHER young one does the same thing to them. [img]wink.gif[/img]

It was pretty fucking lame of them. mainly just because they're treating McF like some new fresh-out-the-door company.... regardless of the past line failures or anythng, MCFarlane HAS done a fuck of a lot.
