Nellie never had her own clothes press, bed, vanity and accessories...so why does Elizabeth? They say Felicity is becoming the movie queen...but I think that Elizabeth is becoming the movie queen. She has enough in her collection to be a whole new historical...not even part of Felicity's collection. I was hoping that the new vanity bedtable and accessories would belong to Felicity atleast...and a whole other bed? I think that's' a bit much if you ask me...

I think that AG is expecting the new Felicity movie to be a very big hit based on the success of the Samantha movie. If the movie is a big hit, then AG figures it will sell a lot of things for Elizabeth and Felicity. I am glad because I am thrilled that the riding habit and Ark are coming back.
I don't think Felicity would be jealous of Elizabeth, and I don't think we should worry about Felicity being upstaged by Elizabeth. Felicity was just not the kind of girl that would give a hoot about all of Elizabeth's girly-girly things.

Remember also, that the Felicity collection we're starting from is MUCH smaller than the Samantha collection pre-Nellie. If the whole collection comes out and it's smaller than Samantha's, people will figure out that Felicity was almost retired.

You're right about that! I bet Samantha and Nellie's collection is still bigger than Felicity's and Elizabeth's - even with all the new stuff.

I think that AG realized that they missed a huge financial opportunity last winter. As Judi said, they weren't expecting Samantha's movie to be such a big hit, or the resulting sales. Everything that they came out with for Nellie sold out quickly, including tons of Samantha's stuff. I think that they are making sure they are ready to take advantage of the opportunity this year. They have done the same thing with their limited edition GOT dolls-each doll's collection has gotten bigger. Poor Lindsey only had a scooter and laptop, Kailey got more stuff and look at all Marison has gotten. Hopefully, one of these days the CEOs at AG will realize that the dolls are their money makers, and they will stop wasting resources on sidelines that end up being discontinued in a couple of years.

I led an AG day at the library on Friday. All girls brought an AG doll or any doll. Guess who the most "popular" doll was?
Nellie!!! There were about six Nellie dolls in the group of 30. Next was Samantha with about four. Molly was also popular. There were no Kirstens or Kayas or Addys, except for mine. There were 3 AGT 16's (dark hair, brown eyes). These were to look like their owners. Other look-alike dolls included one AGT 6 (red hair, brown eyes), one AGT 22, one AGT 23, one AGT 24. There was a Kit and a Kailey. There were 2 Josefina's, I believe.
Edited to say that although the Samantha movie was about Samantha, it definitely seemed to create equal or greater interest in Nellie. Perhaps they are expecting the same with Elizabeth.

also remember nellie is an orphan and came to samnantha with nothing. Elizabeth is far from an orphan and is pretty well off compared to other people in her town.
