Worker Trapped Waist-Deep In Chocolate
KENOSHA, Wis. -- It might sound like a chocoholic's dream, but stepping into a vat of chocolate became a two-hour nightmare for a 21-year-old man Friday morning.
The man, an employee of a Kenosha company that supplies chocolate ingredients, told police he got into the tank at Debelis Corp. to unplug it and became trapped waist-deep in the chocolate.
"It was pretty thick. It was virtually like quicksand," said Police Capt. Randy Berner.
Co-workers, police and firefighters tried to free the man but couldn't get him loose until the chocolate was thinned out. Berner said the worker was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
I'm glad they got the guy out (of course) but can you think of anything better to be stuck in? [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img]
How about marshmallow fluff? [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img]
Or peanut butter? [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]

Jello wouldnt be too bad, maybe pudding!

My question would be, is it customary for people at this candy manufacturer to physically step into ingredients like this? Not sure I want a candy bar someone has been standing in before it was poured... [img]eek.gif[/img]

Id guess that he was wearing a protective suit of some kind that covered his whole body.

I assumed that too, but what about walking up to the vat? He had to get to it somehow and at what point did he put on protective shoes? Inquiring minds would like to know...

Remember in strange brew when one of the Mckenzie brothers got stuck in the vat and had to drink all the [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img] in it LOL!
Maybe he should have called to Oomp Loompas to get him out of it [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img]
