I do. I get one every time a cold front approaches. I did some research online and found out that magnesium helps. I have been taking 500mg a day (250mgs 2x a day ) and after doing it all week without fail, the cold front we had this weekend did NOT give me a migraine. I still got a headache, but it never turned migraine on me. For those of you who have never had one, the difference between a migraine and a regular headache is like the difference between a hurricane and a spring shower. Spring shower may be slightly inconvenient, hurricane can ruin your day. Just an FYI for anyone who may suffer form them, take magnesium!

I don't, thankfully, but I must admit I don't envy you. I worked with a woman who used to get them, and she'd have to go lie down in the conference room, we'd shut the door, turn off the lights and disconnect the phone. My friend's sister used to get them, they more or less made her temporarily blind because she couldn't open her eyes.
It's like, science has known about them for some time now, where's the cure? Chip-chop...

Well the best way to describe how it feels: picture a hose clamp going around your entire head, and someone just keeps tightening it and tightening it. Sometimes the pain is so severe it makes one sick. Then when it passes, it feels like all the muscles in my head and neck have been ripped to pieces. Not the same pain, but a pain as if they have been ripped apart. Fortunately I have found what works for me, I advise anyone who has migraines to take a magnesium supplement. Daily. Everyday!

Trav has had them since he was 7, so that's about 100 years ago.
I was diagnosed last year with chronic migraines.
Magnesium, huh? I'll maybe try that.

The only real side-effect I have noticed is a certain light headedness in place of the migraine. It kind of feels like a battle is going on in there, but that beats letting the migraine gain hold.

Nah, no migraines for me. Although I do get headaches like everyone else.
