So I'm at home just now,at my mum's house, slowly putting all my vinyl stuff onto cd-rom. There's stuff I haven't listened to in at least eight years. But what is depressing is the lack of collectable stuff I have. My most valuable record is "The Knee Plays" by David Byrne, which I think is worth around ?30, although I have a limited edition R.E.M. single, "Orange Crush", in a box which is about the same value.
After all those years buying obscure stuff just for the hell of it hasn't worked out. And those "collectors" cd singles aren't worth anything. Mind you, my Sugarcubes stuff might be worth a bit.
So, what's the most valuable (in monetary terms) record in your collection?
-
Monetary terms? I have no idea. Maybe one of my KISS records. Or Alice Cooper. Or a Deep Purple live album I picked up. I really have no clue, I never had the thought of them being "worth" anything except in regards to any pleasure I got from listening to them.
My mom had some records, Beatles and the Byrds and Sonny and Cher, Peter and Gordon, that I'm sure could bring something in. Unless she turns it into a record bowl first. (Poor records! )

Golly, look at all the links!
I feel like I'm reading wikipedia

I've never seen them. Must be my firewall.
I've never owned any albums. As far as CDs go, probably the early Tori Amos singles I own. Can't think of anything else that might be worth money.

I have a Magic Dragon record, lord knows it's rare! Lol!
I got "We Hate You Little Girls" by Throbbing Gristle on a 45, not common at all! You have to hear it to believe it, and "Five Knuckle Shuffle" an instumental piece with subliminal messages, is on the flip-side.
Basically, there are those records you chuck out when you move, and those that are kept

But, of course, you could never bring yourself to sell it.
